The four c’s of your diamond
Diamond Color
White diamonds contain small traces of color within their crystal structure, usually tints of yellow or brown. Diamond color is graded by the GIA from D (Colorless) to Z (Light). The less tint a diamond has, the more valuable it will be.

Diamond Clarity
Clarity accounts for inclusions and blemishes in the diamond’s crystal structure. Of the 4Cs, clarity is the most difficult to detect without the aid of magnification. The GIA grades clarity on a scale from Flawless (FL) to Included (I3). The fewer inclusions the diamond has, the more valuable it will be.

Diamond Size (Carat Weight)
The term “carat weight” refers to the physical weight of a diamond. Generally, the heavier the carat weight of the diamond, the larger it is and the rarer and more valuable it becomes. There is an important difference between a diamond’s carat weight and its visual size appearance. It’s not always the case that the more a diamond weighs, the larger it looks.

A well-cut diamond allows light to enter the stone and bounce off its facets, reflecting back to the eye in a burst of sparkle. A high-quality diamond cut will also create patterns of light and dark within the stone, along with the colorful flashes referred to as “fire.”
Cut is so crucial in determining a diamond’s beauty that we’ve developed a proprietary cutting standard — Kwiat Tiara® — that exceeds the GIA’s Excellent cut grade for round brilliant diamonds. Kwiat Tiara® diamonds surpass GIA Excellent diamonds with more precise angles and proportions, meticulous faceting placement, and perfect symmetry and polish. The result: diamonds that appear bigger and brighter than others of comparable carat weight. Every Kwiat Tiara® diamond is laser-inscribed with our logo on the stone’s girdle (the edge that separates the top and bottom halves of the diamond). The inscription does not interfere with a diamond’s quality and is only visible with magnification.
